Endometrial Biopsy – Chicago Office Tests

The purpose of an endometrial biopsy is to identify issues that are affecting the endometrium, the lining of the uterus. During this, a sample of the cells of the endometrium is taken and then studied under a microscope. This test has a variety of uses.

Irregular uterine bleeding can be investigated with the help of an endometrial biopsy. Additionally, uterine cancer can be detected this way, as can endometrial hyperplasia (extreme endometrial growth).

An endometrial biopsy can even test for issues with fertility, hormone levels, and the menstrual cycle.

If you’re experiencing problems related to bleeding, fertility, or any of the other issues mentioned here, it’s important that you schedule an appointment. To arrange an endometrial biopsy at Progressive Care for Women, contact our office today!
